Today in the hospital waiting room, a woman entered with her sleeping baby and was given papers to fill out. As she struggled to figure out how to hold her baby while completing the forms, a man sitting across the room offered to hold the baby for her. The woman gratefully accepted, and the man gently rocked the baby as if it were his own. This simple act of kindness melted my heart and gave me hope in a society where racism still exists. I will always remember this sweet moment and encourage anyone who knows this man to let him know what an extraordinary person he is.
