Can You Take Tylenol While Breastfeeding?

Tylenol is generally considered safe for breastfeeding mothers, according to pediatricians and breastfeeding medicine specialists. Both LactMed and the InfantRisk Center support its use during lactation. There are no known significant side effects for babies or milk supply. 
However, consult a doctor if your baby is medically vulnerable, such as being premature. While breastfeeding, do not exceed the recommended Tylenol dosage, and be cautious with cold and flu medications containing acetaminophen to avoid exceeding the daily maximum.
